About the designer

Juliana Nieschke-Martejevs is a German fashion designer and the founder of JULIANA MARTEJEVS – The Sewing Pattern Fashion Label. After completing her training as a ladies' tailor, where she discovered her passion for sewing, Juliana earned her Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design at University of Applied Sciences and Arts Hannover and Politecnico di Milano, followed by her Master’s degree in 2021 from Kingston School of Art in London. Juliana has worked with luxury and high-street brands, as well as museums and magazines around the globe.

She aims to revolutionize DIY fashion by giving it a fresh, modern, and sustainable touch. Juliana has showcased her fashion collections on international runways in Paris, Milan, and Frankfurt, inspiring thousands of hobby sewists to embrace creativity and truly appreciate the value of fashion.

In 2024, Juliana published her first sewing book "Nähen für mich – Outfit of the Day", in collaboration with EMF Verlag. The book features 12 modern street-style looks, perfect for fashion-forward DIY enthusiasts.

She lives with her husband and business partner, Simon, their daughter, and their miniature poodle in Prenzlauer Berg, Berlin.
